The position is responsible for providing mid-level support regarding accounts payables to the Finance department.

Location

Remote – Greater Toronto Area

Shift

Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

Key Qualifications

High School Diploma required
Minimum five (5) years direct experience with accounts payables
Experience in account reconciliation preferred
College or University education in Accounting Principles is an asset
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products – Excel Intermediate is required.
Strong communication skills – verbal and written is required
Problem solving, accuracy, attention to detail and analytical ability is required

Description of Role

Validate and process expense reports
Review the aging of the Accounts Payable Vendor Account with the Accounting Manager
US Customs ACH Application and Investigation
Monthly reconciliation of Key Vendor Statements, investigation and clearing of vendor discrepancies, handle vendor inquiries
Issue stop payments, support Prepaids
Reconcile company credit card transactions and payments, provide month-end accruals
Record, code, and process all invoices for payment, ensure all invoices have proper approval
Prepare, post, and apply payments to vendor invoices via cheque, EFT, or ACH
Process on-demand cheques
Prepare, enter, & maintain filing of accounts payables
Sending inquiries on invoices
Requesting vendor statements
Relaying information on disputed invoices
Answering calls regarding unpaid invoices and vendor follow-ups
Working closely with the Operations Team ( Canadian Brokerage , Logistics, US Brokerage) on AP investigation entries that require:
- - Billing
  - Supplemental billing
  - Credits
Other duties as assigned

Salary range: $46000 to $58000 depending on experience, qualification and location
